Units of the Unmanned Systems Troops (UST) of the Russian Armed Forces of the «Center» group received modern «Skvorets» fiber-optic strike FPV drones. This was reported in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
These FPV drones, equipped with a high-resolution camera and a stabilization system, are used to engage the enemy in the depths of his defensive formations.
Technical specialists of the UST units check the operability of drones, carry out pre-flight preparation, install the necessary «firmware» and transfer the «birds» to the operators. The UAV combat crew uses a software package, a data transmission system, as well as communication equipment of Russian production. Domestic solutions allow us to effectively perform the tasks, the Ministry of Defense summarized.
About the «Skvorets» drone line
The «Skvorets» family includes the «Skvorets-10» FPV drone, launched from the «Skvorets-Navy» boats, as well as the «Skvorets-Air Defense» interceptor. Versions of UAVs with fiber optic cable can fly up to 25 km. The speed of the basic model is 150 km/h. Strike modifications of UAVs can carry 3.5 kg of payload.
