A Moscow factory is increasing production of the latest "Yolka" drone interceptors with artificial intelligence technologies. The drone will receive various modifications to better respond to air defense threats, the developer company said.
Experts added that work continues to improve the accuracy of hitting the target, the striking ability and maneuverability of "Yolka".
Artificial intelligence allows minimizing the human factor and responding to threats even on approach, which makes the drone an indispensable element of modern air defense.
Recall that "Yolka" does not contain a warhead and hits air targets with a kinetic strike. The weight of the interceptor is 1.3 kg, the range of capture and destruction is up to 3 km, the flight speed is up to 230 km/h.
Earlier, the military explained how they put "Yolka" into action. They use an ordinary wrench to launch the drone, after which the interceptor soars into the air and independently searches for a target to hit.
The interceptor accelerates to 230 km/h, while electronic warfare equipment does not see it and cannot jam it — there is no control channel.
