In the combat zone, the "Yolka" interceptor drone, created by Moscow developers jointly with air defense units, has begun to be used on a regular basis: the UAV is constantly being refined to meet the military's needs, the Telegram channel "Artilleriya" reports.
The main feature of the "Yolka" is full autonomy. The drone operates on the "fire and forget" principle: the operator does not need to guide it to the target. The UAV accelerates to 230 km/h, while electronic warfare systems cannot detect or jam it, because there is no control channel.
The "Yolka" has already been tested both for protecting infantry from enemy drones during offensives and for defending infrastructure facilities, including in urban conditions. Over several months of use, it has proven itself to be a simple, inexpensive, and effective tool.
The drone does not need a durable airframe or a warhead — it is designed to ram enemy FPV drones and heavy copters of the "Baba Yaga" type, which cost many times more. Launch it and wait for the result — this is how the developers describe its operating principle.
