The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has filed a claim for 5.5 million rubles against the Tula Design Bureau named after Shipunov. The statement from the military department was registered in the Arbitration Court of Moscow.
Also, the research and production association "Bazalt" filed a lawsuit for a similar amount against the designers.
The date of consideration has not yet been set for either case, and the cases are at the first instance stage. Due to the specifics of the Shipunov Design Bureau's products, the process will take place behind closed doors.
The Shipunov Design Bureau was founded in 1927. The company produces high-precision Pantsir-M anti-aircraft missile systems, Kornet anti-tank systems, and Krasnopol artillery systems, Hermes-A missile systems, and Berezhok and Bakhcha-U fire control systems.
In the past year, the bureau has become a frequent participant in legal proceedings. In early February, the company lost a lawsuit to the Imperial Tula Arms Factory for 425 million rubles.
