The Soviet District Court of Ufa delivered a verdict on March 3 against a former leading engineer of the supply department of the "UEC-UMPO" plant. An employee of the defense enterprise received five years in a general regime colony for receiving bribes on an especially large scale.
The joint press service of the courts of Bashkiria clarified that the UMPO employee had systematically received money from representatives of commercial firms for several years.
In return for the reward, she ensured the acceleration of payments under contracts and patronage in the execution of contracts. The money was transferred to the accounts of the convicted person's relatives for the purpose of conspiracy.
The total amount of bribes exceeded 3.9 million rubles. The accused fully admitted her guilt. In addition to the real term, the court banned her from holding positions in the field of public procurement for four years, and the funds received were confiscated to the state revenue. The verdict has not yet entered into legal force.
Earlier it became known that the financial performance of UEC-UMPO deteriorated, the loss for 2025 amounted to 14.3 billion rubles. Also, there were reports around the plant about attempts to initiate bankruptcy proceedings.
Recall that UEC-UMPO is a key engine manufacturer of Su-57, Su-27, Su-30 and Su-35S aircraft.
