Specialists from the "Roselectronica" holding of the Rostec State Corporation, together with the Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute (AARI) and with the participation of the telemedicine service "Doctis," have launched a pilot project for continuous monitoring of the health status of employees of the "Ice Base Cape Baranova" research station (Severnaya Zemlya archipelago).

The system is based on the "Personal Medical Assistants" (PMA) platform, the core of which is the medical IoT platform IoMT.Istok, developed by NPP Istok named after Shokin (part of Roselectronica). Wearable medical devices transmit key indicators in real time — heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature, and oxygen saturation level — to a unified information system. The data is promptly analyzed by doctors, which allows for timely detection of deviations, prevention of complications, and minimization of the need for complex medical evacuation in the Far North.

The project aims to improve the safety of personnel working in the extreme climatic conditions of the Arctic. In the future, such solutions will become the basis for organizing a full-fledged medical support system in remote areas of the Russian Arctic zone.
