LOMO has begun the zero-cycle phase of construction of a new mechanical assembly building

The foundation is ready, frame installation is underway, and major renovation of workshops for modern equipment is being carried out in parallel

At JSC "LOMO" of the Kalashnikov Concern, builders have begun zero-cycle work at the site of the future mechanical assembly building (MAB). The building, with an area of almost 19,000 m2 and a height of 22.5 m, will allow the enterprise to significantly increase output volumes of high-precision products and move to the next technological level.

Construction of the future mechanical assembly building

The foundation is fully ready: all 549 piles have been driven. Work on the column pile caps is actively underway — 35 of 105 structures have been concreted. In parallel, excavation of the foundation pit and relocation of utility networks from the construction footprint have been completed by 82%. Every day, 110 people are working at the site and 27 pieces of equipment are in use.

Construction of the MAB

Suppliers of metal structures have already begun manufacturing the building frame, which will make it possible to start installing the main load-bearing elements in the near future.

Construction is proceeding simultaneously in two directions: a new MAB is being erected and major renovation of existing premises is being carried out for the installation of modern equipment.
