The introduction of restrictions on the supply of aircraft and spare parts to Russia was a mistake. This opinion was expressed by the Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Russian Federation (AmCham Russia) Robert Agee.

Today, the Russian aviation industry operates in complete isolation, focusing on the process of import substitution. However, such a course is unlikely viable in the long term, said "First Technical" aviation expert Andrey Velichko.
