In the past few days, the Sun has shown low flare activity, so the event looks strongly contradictory to the overall situation. The source of the explosion was on the far side of the Sun. This area had not previously manifested itself.

The flare does not pose a danger to Earth. The plasma ejection goes to the side.

According to experts, the event may be a one-time occurrence, but there is also a possibility that a new group of spots will form behind the eastern edge of the star. If a new area is created, the flares will continue. A series of events may begin within a day.

Earlier www1.ru reported that a magnetic storm covered the Earth earlier than predicted.
