The new project will provide the market with domestic components

The Saratov enterprise "Promelectronica" has launched the production of seamless thin-walled tubes made of refractory metals for plasma engines of satellites. This was reported by the Industrial Development Fund.

Products made of molybdenum and rhenium alloy are used in plasma engines of communication satellites, aviation instruments and vacuum electronic equipment.

Investments in the project exceeded 40 million rubles. The company has implemented a full-cycle technology. It allows producing products with a thickness of 0.1 mm and a length of 16 to 34 mm with specified strength and tightness.

After reaching its design capacity, the Saratov enterprise will produce at least 1 thousand tubes and sleeves and up to 4 thousand other products per year. The products are focused on the enterprises of "Rostec", "Roscosmos" and related industries.
