A Million Accident Scenarios: Unique Protection for Aircraft Created in Russia

All New Domestic Airliners Will Receive the System

Russian engineers have developed their own aircraft collision warning system, which no country in the world has managed to create. This was announced by the head of Rosaviatsiya, Dmitry Yadrov.

The head of the agency clarified that the system models every collision that could occur in the air.

Last year, Rosaviatsiya completed the development of a research project to create the system, on the basis of which four technical specifications were formulated. And every collision that could occur in the air was modeled. More than one million runs were carried out within the modeling complex.

Andrei Patrakov, founder of the flight safety and certification service RunAvia, explained to Pervomu tekhnicheskomu that the absence of a domestic TCAS collision warning system is the main problem of Russia's civil aviation. Without such a system, airliners are simply prohibited from taking to the skies.

In December 2025, it became known that Russia had completed certification of key domestic onboard flight safety systems. Rosaviatsiya issued airworthiness certificates to the Navigator Aviation Instrument Engineering Institute from St. Petersburg.
