Su-30 on a 3D printer: a young specialist from IRNITU came up with how to speed up the production of fighters

An Irkutsk student has developed equipment for the right control stick of an aircraft

Nikita Rinchine, a sixth-year student at IRNITU, used 3D printing to create innovative equipment for the production of the Su-30 aircraft. He completed the project commissioned by the Irkutsk Aviation Plant (IAZ, part of Rostec).

As part of the assignment from the enterprise, Rinchine analyzed the technological process and studied the capabilities of FDM technology. He proposed the idea of modernizing the method of manufacturing foundry equipment.

Considering the characteristics of the product, the student chose a specific type of thermoplastic and determined the printing parameters on an industrial 3D printer, which is used at IAZ.

The result of the work was a printed model of the equipment, the use of which will improve the manufacturing technology of the combat aircraft part, added at IAZ.

A few days ago, a modern high-tech treatment complex was put into operation at the IAZ site. It meets all Russian and international environmental standards.
