Bryansk-based group of companies GKMP announced the development of the first fully domestic road milling machine intended for removing worn asphalt and preparing the base for new pavement. The project, which received funding from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation as part of research and development work (R&D) in 2023, is already moving to the stage of practical testing.
According to information from the developers, the model called "DESNA F" will undergo pilot operation on the Moscow–Bobruisk highway starting in the summer of 2026.
The key technical characteristics of the milling machine emphasize its adaptation to domestic standards: the use of Russian-made components, including a YaMZ engine and hydraulic motors from "Pnevmostroimashina". The milling width reaches 1300 mm, and the maximum depth is 225 mm. In addition, the machine is equipped with an ergonomic operator workstation and offers increased maneuverability, making it suitable for operation in challenging conditions.
