"Energy Core" for high-speed trains is ready: it was assembled at the "Voronezh Transformer" plant

Testing of the key component of the traction transformer will begin in April 2026

The «Voronezh Transformer» plant has successfully assembled the active part of the traction transformer for the «Moscow-St. Petersburg» high-speed trains. This was reported by the press service of the enterprise.

This is a key component — the «energy core» of the future train. Inside is a complex system of windings and a magnetic core that will allow the train to reach speeds of up to 400 km/h.

The traction transformer is a critical component that provides power to locomotives. After the assembly of the key component is completed, it will be transferred to the customer for comprehensive testing on a prototype train. They will begin in April 2026.
