Il-114-300 Makes Historic Flight to India. Aircraft to Debut at Wings India 2026

The third prototype of the Russian regional turboprop aircraft Il-114-300 (OP-3, serial number 1001, tail number 54116) has arrived in India, where it will be presented to an international audience for the first time. According to reports, the aircraft — the second newly built aircraft — will participate in the Wings India 2026 exhibition, which will be held in Hyderabad from January 28 to 31.

The project's chief designer, Mikhail Alekseev, previously clarified that the flight from Russia to India would be carried out with a minimum number of stops: the aircraft made only one landing en route.

The foreign premiere of the updated Il-114-300 will be a key event of the Russian exposition at Wings India — one of the largest aviation exhibitions in the Asia-Pacific region. Participation in the event opens up opportunities for developers to attract potential customers and partners from South and Southeast Asia.
