The third prototype of the Russian regional turboprop aircraft Il-114-300 (OP-3, serial number 1001, tail number 54116) has arrived in India, where it will be presented to an international audience for the first time. As reported, the aircraft — the second newly built plane — will take part in the Wings India 2026 exhibition, which will be held in Hyderabad from January 28 to 31.
Chief designer of the project Mikhail Alekseev previously clarified that the flight from Russia to India would be carried out with a minimal number of stops: the aircraft made just one landing en route.
The international premiere of the upgraded Il-114-300 will become a key event of the Russian exposition at Wings India — one of the largest aviation exhibitions in the Asia-Pacific region. Participation in the event opens up opportunities for the developers to attract potential customers and partners from South and Southeast Asia.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the SJ-100 landed in India ahead of the start of Wings India 2026.
