Belarusian interceptor drone enters the international arena

The complex with a warhead of up to 3 kg, a speed of 200 km/h and capable of detecting targets at 4.5 km was presented at UMEX in the UAE

At the international exhibition of weapons and security technologies UMEX 2026 in Abu Dhabi, the Minsk Scientific and Technical Center "LEMZ" presented a compact interceptor drone designed to detect and neutralize unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) even in difficult conditions. The system is equipped with an optoelectronic module combining a video camera and a thermal imager, which allows effective tracking of low-contrast targets or in limited visibility.

Interceptor drone and launch system

According to the developers, the weight of the interceptor's warhead reaches 3 kg, and the total weight of the entire complex is 6 kg. The drone is capable of speeds up to 200 km/h, can travel up to 6 km and stay in the air for about 10 minutes.

The system demonstrates high efficiency against commercial UAVs: it can capture DJI Phantom 4 quadcopters at a distance of up to 200 m, Matrice 300 up to 400 m, and larger analogues, such as Matrice 600, at a distance of up to 500 m.
