The carbody structures of the future hydrogen train have passed testing

The carbodies meet all regulatory requirements

The Tver Carriage Works sent four carbodies of the driving cars (models 62-4585 and 62-4586), as well as two sets of elements for the booster section (model 62-4587), of the new hydrogen train (model 62-4584) to the Demikhovo Engineering Plant. This was reported by the enterprise's press service.

The reliability of the carbody structures was checked during testing. Specialists subjected the carbody of the hydrogen train's driving car to loads, simulating the longitudinal forces created by passengers.

In addition to load modeling, our task is to subsequently analyze the results for each studied zone obtained by the strain-gauge method.
Aleksandr Smirnov, leading engineer of TIVa

To monitor the condition of the structure, more than 250 strain gauges were installed (devices in the form of a zigzag conductor on a flexible backing, whose resistance changes depending on its deformation), which exceeds standard parameters. This made it possible to more accurately assess the stresses on the carbody, in particular in the areas subject to the greatest loads.

The tests showed that the carbodies meet all regulatory requirements. Testing of the carbody of the intermediate car of the hydrogen train (model 62-4588) is currently continuing.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that serial production of hydrogen trains will be launched in 2027.
