The St. Petersburg branch of JSC "VNIIR-Progress" has developed main and emergency switchboards (MSB and ESB) designed for installation on the lead vessel of Project 10510 "Leader". The equipment was certified by specialists from the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.
MSB and ESB are key control and distribution nodes of the ship's electrical power system.
The reliable operation of MSB and ESB in the extreme conditions of high latitudes is critical for the safety and efficiency of the "Leader" icebreaker.
The Project 10510 "Leader" icebreaker is the most powerful (120 MW) nuclear icebreaker in the world. The vessel will provide year-round convoying along the NSR through ice up to 4 m thick.
