Project 23470 vessel

The vessel underwent the necessary tests. All mechanisms and systems operated normally.

Purpose of the Project 23470 vessel:

  • towing in ice and open water
  • piloting ships in ports, berthing
  • firefighting on water and coastal facilities
  • refloating vessels
  • holding ships on course in difficult weather conditions
The ability to successfully perform escort operations is ensured by the higher seaworthiness of "Kapitan Sergeev" compared to conventional port tugs and a higher holding force.
