Rostandart has approved new GOSTs for the operation of remote medical devices and services that monitor the health of patients. Among them are GOST R 72099.2 "Cyber-physical systems. Personal medical assistants. Part 2. General provisions" and GOST R 72099.3 "Part 3. Architecture".
The documents establish uniform requirements for the architecture of personal medical assistants, data collection and transmission, as well as the interaction of digital platforms with regional medical information systems. The GOSTs take into account existing technological practices and provisions of Russian legislation on the protection of personal data and localization of information, which is important for scaling remote monitoring in healthcare.
The new standards are relevant for monitoring patients with chronic diseases undergoing outpatient treatment, as well as pregnant women, children, the elderly and people with disabilities. They are aimed at improving the quality of monitoring, timely diagnosis and proactive response based on the data received.
The head of Rostandart, Anton Shalaev, noted that the standards will allow the implementation of a remote monitoring system in all regions of Russia in the near future.
