The Public Chamber Proposed to Introduce a Fee for Each Attempt to Pass the Driving Test

The measure should make motorists more disciplined

A member of the Commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation on Security, Vladimir Korobchak, proposed an innovation in the issue of passing exams for obtaining a driver's license. In his opinion, it is necessary to pay a state fee for each attempt. The measure should discipline future drivers.

Let's propose such an idea from the Public Chamber, from the expert community: let the state fee be paid not only for issuing a driver's license, but for each exam taken.

The total amount of the state fee for issuing driver's licenses — this is a mandatory payment that is charged upon receipt or replacement of a license. To date, since the summer of last year, the state fee is 4 thousand rubles and 6 thousand rubles for a license with an electronic medium, and for an international driver's license — 3.2 thousand rubles.
