Russian auto giant files lawsuit against key supplier of Boeing and Airbus

GAZ demands almost 500 thousand euros from Swiss Starrag GmbH

PJSC Gorky Automobile Plant (GAZ) has filed a lawsuit against the foreign company Starrag GmbH. The case was registered in the electronic file cabinet of the Arbitration Court of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

The total amount of GAZ PJSC's claims against the foreign manufacturer is more than 493,000 euros (about 44.7 million rubles). The essence of the claim is still unknown, but the first hearing in the case is scheduled for October 20, 2026.

Starrag GmbH develops, manufactures and sells precision machine tools for processing metal workpieces. These products are then used in the aerospace and transportation industries.

The head office is located in Switzerland. Starrag is one of the key technology partners for Airbus and Boeing. In the aerospace industry, the company is considered a "supplier of first choice" for the production of the most complex and critical aircraft components.

GAZ is the largest manufacturer of commercial vehicles in Russia, producing a wide range of light and medium-duty vehicles, buses and special equipment.
