"First - Our Own, Then - Others": UAC Head Prioritizes Domestic Market Over Exports

Foreign Customers Are Ready - But Russia Is First in Line

The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec) intends to focus primarily on meeting the demand of Russian airlines, and only then expand the export of civil aircraft to foreign markets. This was announced by the corporation's CEO, Vadim Badeha.

After achieving this goal, UAC plans to intensify deliveries abroad, primarily to friendly countries.

We are in deep negotiations with some of them, and preliminary work is underway with others. We are mainly limited today by the fact that we set the saturation of our market as our primary task. Therefore, foreign customers know about our projects, want to participate in them, but the key priority is our domestic market.
Vadim Badeha, Head of UAC

Badeha paid special attention to cooperation with India, calling it a long-standing and reliable partner of the Russian aviation industry. He noted that the Indian side highly appreciates the efficiency of the Sukhoi Superjet aircraft.

The head of UAC emphasized that Russia has a unique advantage: the entire chain of development and production of components for the SJ-100 aircraft is fully localized within the country. This, in his opinion, creates a solid foundation for the implementation of joint localization programs with India without dependence on third parties.
