At JSC "B.E. Butoma Shipbuilding Plant", work continues on the construction of the "Petropavlovsk" ferry of the CNF22 project. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Transport of Russia.
The vessel will be able to transport 150 passengers, cars, buses and cargo containers between the ports of Kamchatka, Sakhalin, Primorsky Krai, Magadan Region and the Kuril Islands.
The vessel will operate regular passenger and cargo services in the Far East.
Technical characteristics of the "Petropavlovsk" cargo-passenger ferry of the CNF22 project:
- Length — 119.99 m.
- Width — 17.91 m.
- Board height to the main deck — 7.5 m.
- Draft — 4.5 m.
- Maximum power of the main engines — 2×3500 kW.
- Passenger capacity — 150 people.
- Carrying capacity — 28 trucks or 78 cars.
The vessel is being built by order of Rosmorrechflot within the framework of the federal state program "Development of the transport system". The ferry was laid down in March 2020. It was launched in March 2025. The ferry was planned to be put into operation in the same year, but it was postponed to 2026.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the delivery of the "Vasily Oshchepkov" ferry of the CNF11CPD project was postponed to 2027.
