According to Peskov, the Rosatom corporation, which is building the largest number of power units in the world, is capable of bringing this project to completion.

It is worth recalling that the commissioning dates for the first reactor of the station have been repeatedly postponed. Ankara had hoped to launch it by the 100th anniversary of the Republic (October 29, 2023).

However, in December 2025, the Turkish Ministry of Energy stated that the launch was being postponed again. At the same time, the Turkish authorities did not specify any concrete dates.
