Implementation of UAVs in the agricultural sector of the Samara region: prospects and results

The region uses drones to cultivate fields

The Governor of the Samara region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, announced during a direct line with residents that the volume of field cultivation using unmanned aviation in the region will be increased. According to him, 250 thousand hectares of agricultural land have already been cultivated using UAVs, and this figure will continue to grow.

Fedorishchev also noted the positive dynamics of yields: in 2025, farmers in the region harvested more than 3.2 million tons of grain, which is 15% higher than in 2024.

Earlier, the governor announced the region's readiness to export services for the use of unmanned vehicles in agriculture. He emphasized that the Samara region is not only a manufacturer of civilian drones, but also a supplier of fertilizers, which allows offering comprehensive solutions for the agro-industrial sector.

According to Fedorishchev, the introduction of UAVs in agriculture helps to increase labor productivity, reduce the cost of field cultivation and accelerate agro-technological operations. This makes the region one of the leaders in the introduction of digital technologies in the agricultural sector of Russia.
