The Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation Does Not Rule Out New Deliveries of S-400 "Triumph" SAM Systems to India

New Delhi Seeks to Acquire the Latest Combat Systems

Russia does not rule out new deliveries of S-400 "Triumph" anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) to India. This was stated by Dmitry Shugaev, Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC — an organization that controls export transactions involving military equipment and weapons of Russian production).

If we come to an agreement with them (India), then, probably, we will continue this topic.

Shugaev called this issue "political and commercial." But there is no clarity yet on how many complexes will be involved, he added.

In addition to air defense systems, India is interested in the supply of fifth-generation aircraft. According to him, New Delhi seeks to "possess the latest combat systems."

Earlier, the Kremlin stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin, during his state visit on December 4-5, will discuss a number of topics with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, including the supply of S-400 and Su-57.
