With a Total Capacity of 230 MW: Three New Wind Farms to Be Built in the Stavropol Territory

A new solar power plant will also appear in the region

Three new wind farms with a total capacity of 230 MW are planned to be built in the Stavropol Territory. This was announced by the head of the region, Vladimir Vladimirov.

Kochubeevskaya WPP

The implementation of the projects will increase the wind generation capacity in the region by almost a quarter.

We are developing plans for the construction of two wind farms in the Turkmen district and in the Trunovsky district with a capacity of 80 MW each, and in the Kochubeevsky district with a capacity of 70 MW.
Vladimir Vladimirov, Head of the Stavropol Territory

Investments in the development of renewable energy sources (RES) in the Stavropol Territory reached 120 billion rubles by 2025. Over the past seven years, 11 projects in the field of RES have been successfully implemented in the region.

Currently, there are nine hydroelectric power plants, seven wind farms, and one of the largest solar power plants in the country operating in the Stavropol Territory.

We will build another solar power plant (we will build) with a capacity of 110 megawatts in the Levokumsky district.
Vladimir Vladimirov, Head of the Stavropol Territory

Today, the energy generation capacity in the Stavropol Territory is almost three times higher than its own needs.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Rosatom включил Novolakskaya WPP into the Unified Energy System — the first stage of 61 wind turbines has started.
