Arktur Electric Bike Enters Testing: MZR Plant Strengthens Project with Domestic Components

The model is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery and a 30 kW electric motor, providing a range of up to 150 km.

MotoZavod Rus (MZR) has presented the second prototype of the Arktur electric bike, which has been under development for several years. The new model is entirely built on a Russian component base. The model is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery and a 30 kW (41 hp) electric motor, providing a range of up to 150 km on a single charge.

Engineers note that a key step was the transition to domestic components, which should increase the technological independence of the project and simplify further mass production.

The Arktur is planned to be certified and launched on the market in 2026, and production is already being prepared for scaling.

According to the developers, further tests will focus on optimizing energy efficiency and improving the motorcycle's handling. Special attention will be paid to the reliability of the power plant and the adaptation of the electric bike to Russian climatic conditions to ensure stable operation of the equipment all year round.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the motorcycle manufacturer Ural continues to incur losses.
