The testing of the first batch of "Alligator" project interceptor drones has begun. This was reported by the "Vektor" design bureau.
The drone reaches speeds of up to 270 kilometers per hour and is controlled from a remote control. It is capable of intercepting any strike and reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles.
The interceptor carries a VOG-25 payload (25th model fragmentation grenade launcher shot). At the same time, its weight is only 1.2 kg.
The model retains copter control, while achieving high travel speeds. The first batch of drones is currently being tested.
There are successful uses in shooting down "Baba Yaga".
The drone's flight range is up to 8 km. Flight time is 15 minutes. Upon reaching the target, a remote detonation occurs. Contact detonation is also possible upon collision.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the newest drone interceptor was developed in Russia using "Kompas-3D".
