Egypt отказывается от российских Су-35 и выбирает французские Rafale

Каир критикует российские самолёты — истребители России якобы имеют «технические недостатки»

Egypt has decided to abandon the purchase of Russian Su-35 fighters and instead choose French Rafale fighters. According to media reports, the Egyptian military is expressing serious complaints about the Su-35: they allegedly have an outdated radar system (RLS) such as "Irbis", high dependence on external guidance, as well as significant fuel consumption and increased thermal and radio visibility.

According to Cairo, these "technical shortcomings" interfere with the effective operation of the Su-35, and therefore Egypt decided to reject the Russian option, despite previously formalized contractual obligations.

At the same time, Egyptian representatives allegedly organized an information campaign to denigrate the reputation of the Russian aircraft in favor of Rafale.

On the other hand, Rafale are seen by Egypt as a more modern and profitable acquisition.

There is also data that part of the Su-35, which were originally supposed to go to Egypt, was received by Algeria.
