A Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft on the Vladivostok — Blagoveshchensk route made an emergency landing at Khabarovsk Airport after part of the skin of the French-Russian SaM-146 engine tore off right in flight. There were 90 people on board, no one was injured.
The Far Eastern Transport Prosecutor's Office clarified that the landing went smoothly. The agency controlled the organization of the airport services.
The Primorsky Transport Prosecutor's Office will assess the technical services of Vladivostok Airport when preparing the vessel for departure to its destination.
As a reminder, Sukhoi Superjet 100s with SaM-146 engines currently fly on regular flights in Russia, which can be re-engined with domestic PD-8 power units. Aviation expert Roman Gusarov previously said that such a procedure will result in large expenses for operators.
It is known that the Ministry of Industry and Trade will finance research and development work to replace SaM146 with PD-8 on the released Superjet 100 aircraft. Specific start dates for the project have not yet been determined.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the manufacturer of the Be-200 amphibious aircraft with PD-8 will hide reporting against the background of huge losses.
