Floating nuclear power plants use the technologies of ship-based nuclear power installations and are considered promising for the power supply of islands and industrial facilities in remote areas. Despite the high cost of electricity, such stations can provide a stable power supply where the construction of traditional power plants is difficult.

Experts note that cooperation between Russia and India in this area could open up new opportunities for regional development and strengthen the energy security of the countries in the region. In addition, the experience of joint design and operation of such facilities will allow both parties to improve technological and engineering competencies in the field of nuclear energy.

Earlier,www1.ru reported that Rosatom is resuming the "Bolshoi Elkon" project to provide the country with uranium for centuries.
