Work on the creation of the RD-0177M oxygen-methane rocket engine continues. This was reported in the press service of the Roscosmos State Corporation.
With its help, the fuel components are ignited in the engine's gas generator.
The first fire test of the electroplasma ignition device was carried out at the Chemical Automation Design Bureau (part of NPO Energomash Roscosmos). The test confirmed the correctness of the engineering and design solutions.
