Mi-8T helicopter at the price of Lada Vesta is sold in Russia

You can become the owner of a 1981 rotorcraft for 1.9 million rubles

The Kaliningrad-based airline "SKOL", which has been declared bankrupt, has put its aircraft up for auction. For example, Mi-8T helicopters manufactured in 1981 can be purchased at a price of 1.9 million rubles - the same as a new Lada Vesta sedan with an automatic transmission.

The lots also include two large transport Mi-26Ts - from 79 million rubles.

MI-8T helicopter, date of manufacture - 08/31/1984. Current price - 1,934,377 rubles. MI-26T aircraft, initial price - 134,944,071 rubles. Current price - 79,886,890 rubles.
Information about the auction

Most of the aircraft are based in Surgut, with the exception of one Mi-26T.

Oleg Panteleev, Executive Director of the AviaPort agency, explained that there is no shortage of Mi-8Ts on the Russian market, but due to the cessation of their production, individual units - for example, the tail boom - have become scarce and in demand.

There are no old aircraft - there are either serviceable or unserviceable ones. If the equipment is monitored and repaired, the helicopter remains airworthy.
Oleg Panteleev, aviation expert

He also stressed that the Mi-26T remains unique to the global market - it is the most heavy-lifting production helicopter. Usually the demand for such machines is low, but stable. There is no market price as such - each transaction is unique.
