The commission of the Cosmonaut Training Center has approved the readiness of the crews of the 74th expedition for the upcoming flight to the International Space Station. The launch of the Soyuz MS-28 manned spacecraft is scheduled for November 27, 2025, from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. Currently, the cosmonauts are undergoing the final stage of pre-launch preparation.
The main crew includes Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Kud-Sverchkov and Sergey Mikaev, as well as NASA astronaut Christopher Williams.
The backup crew includes Petr Dubrov and Anna Kikina (Roscosmos), as well as American astronaut Anil Menon.
According to the mission plan, the expedition members will spend 242 days on board the ISS, carrying out an extensive scientific and technical program. Among the priority areas are research in the fields of biology, medicine, materials science, as well as testing new systems and technologies that will be used on promising manned spacecraft.
"The crews are fully prepared for the upcoming flight. The next stage is comprehensive pre-launch preparation at Baikonur," the Roscosmos press service said.
The Soyuz MS-28 mission will be an important step in continuing Russian-American cooperation in space and will contribute to the development of domestic manned flight technologies.
