The TВС-2МS aircraft of Khabarovsk Airlines has completed its first flight. The aircraft was chartered from the Tomsk-based airline "SibAerokraft" for passenger and cargo transportation between Nikolayevsk-on-Amur and Chumikan.
ТВС-2МS is a modernized version of the legendary An-2. The aircraft is manufactured by the company "Rusaviaprom".
Unlike its predecessor, the ТВС-2МS is equipped with a new Honeywell turboprop engine and completely updated onboard equipment.
The aircraft has retained the "Kukuruznik's" unpretentiousness to ground airfield infrastructure. Thanks to the modern engine, the maximum speed of the ТВС-2МS has increased to 250 km/h, and the flight range is 1200 km. The level of comfort for passengers has also been increased by reducing noise and vibration in the cabin.
The ТВС-2МS uses aviation kerosene instead of expensive aviation gasoline. This makes the operation of the aircraft more economical.
