Strategic missile carriers Tu-95MS of long-range aviation of the Aerospace Forces (VKS) of Russia made a planned flight in the air space over the neutral waters of the Bering Sea. This was reported in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
The duration of the bombers' flight was more than 11 hours. Fighter escort for the missile carriers was provided by the crews of the Su-35S and Su-30SM.
At certain stages of the route, the Tu-95MS were accompanied by fighters from foreign countries.
All flights of aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces are carried out in strict accordance with international rules for the use of airspace , the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation emphasized.
