Long-range strategic bombers Tu-22M3 of the Aerospace Forces (VKS) of Russia made a scheduled flight in the airspace over the neutral waters of the Baltic Sea. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
The Tu-22M3 was escorted by crews of Su-35S and Su-27 aircraft. The flight lasted more than 5 hours.
At certain stages of the route, long-range bombers were accompanied by fighters from foreign countries.
The armament of the Tu-22M3 missile carrier includes the hypersonic complex "Kinzhal", a twin-barreled GSh-23L 23 mm caliber cannon, various types of aerial bombs or free-falling sea mines.
