The Russian government has placed its bet on the production of the promising MC-21 airliner. In total, thousands of suppliers were involved in the work on the aircraft, said Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development of Russia.
The federal and industry competence centers have launched a project with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to build work on the supply of components on time, thousands of suppliers are participating. Next in line is work with the airport network.
Reshetnikov added that work has begun with the growing warehouse logistics sector. There are large reserves for operational changes here - unnecessary handling of goods, manual sorting and lack of automation.
Meanwhile, specialists from PJSC "Yakovlev" have already begun a series of MC-21 tests in harsh climatic conditions in northern Russia. Crews simulate various approach scenarios and conflict situations.
