Ulyanovsk Aviation Plant "Aviastar" (part of the United Aircraft Corporation) is preparing for a large-scale modernization of production facilities. The company is introducing advanced technologies aimed at improving efficiency and accelerating aircraft production.
The key direction is robotization and automation of production processes, which will help reduce the share of manual labor, optimize work operations and significantly increase production volumes.
"Aviastar" relies on the acquisition of complex automated lines, rather than individual machines, which ensures more deep integration.
This approach is already actively used at the Kazan Aviation Plant, now Aviastar will also receive the latest equipment.
The aircraft factory in Ulyanovsk is building Il-76MD-90A military transport aircraft. Unlike the standard Il-76MDs, they are equipped with PS-90A-76 engines with a thrust of up to 14.5 tons instead of the "standard" D-30KP2 with a thrust of up to 12 tons.
