To counter the growing number of enemy unmanned aerial vehicles, Russian military experts have proposed using the domestically developed reconnaissance and strike UAV "Inokhodets" as an air defense asset against enemy drones.
To enhance the combat capabilities of the "Inokhodets" UAV, it is proposed to equip it with a suspended container with a machine gun (PKTM or GShG-7.62). This will allow drones to destroy enemy drones as effectively as Ka-52 and Mi-28N helicopters do, while providing much safer and more economical sorties.
The "Inokhodets" is already ready for the use of a wide range of weapons: from free-fall bombs to high-precision KABs and Kh-50 cruise missiles. At the same time, only minimal modification of the design will be required to install small arms.
Technical characteristics of the "Inokhodets" UAV:
- Wingspan — 16 m
- Length — 8 m
- Takeoff weight — 1 000 kg
- Payload — up to 250 kg
- Cruising speed — up to 200 km/h
- Service ceiling — 7 500 m
- Flight duration — up to 24 hours
- Weapon placement — 3 external hardpoints (2 under the wings, 1 under the fuselage)
