A model of the newest domestic gas turbine engine GTD-110M was presented to Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak. The United Engine Corporation (UEC, part of Rostec State Corporation) revealed the characteristics of the power plant.
GTD-110M is an engine for driving electric generators in gas turbine and combined cycle plants with a capacity of up to 325 MW. The unit will replace foreign analogues at Russian energy facilities.
The key advantages of the Russian engine are the best-in-class performance for stations with a capacity of 60–180 MW with less weight and size. GTD-110M can run on natural and associated gas, kerosene, and diesel fuel.
High efficiency of 36.1% is an indicator that meets modern global standards. The engine is easily integrated into the existing infrastructure, which speeds up installation and reduces costs.
In addition, GTD-110M provides high energy quality and stability even in transient modes. The first serial turbine based on the technology has been successfully operating since October 2024 in the Krasnodar Territory in the power unit of the Udarnaya TPP.
