The former general director of the company "Radioautomatica," Vladimir Ivanov, has been charged with embezzling 281 million rubles from state defense order funds.
The Investigative Committee believes that he overstated the cost of imported electronic components purchased for the implementation of the state defense order by almost 300 million rubles.
The criminal case on especially large-scale fraud is based on contracts from 2016, when "Radioautomatica" concluded two contracts with JSC "Central Scientific Research Radio Engineering Institute named after Academician A. I. Berg" (TsNIRTI, part of the "Almaz-Antey" concern).
The amount in the contracts totaled more than 920 million rubles, and it concerned conducting experimental design work. However, law enforcement officials concluded that the cost of electronic components purchased abroad by "Radioautomatica" as part of the order was overstated by 281.3 million rubles, which is more than 300%.
