Russian military personnel are using an effective "Medusa" tank protection system against kamikaze drones. Tanker Alexey spoke about it.
According to him, the system consists of many pieces of cable, fixed on lattice structures and hanging down.
The cables are easily moved aside even when loading 125-mm shells, which ensures ease of use in the field.
A simple and effective solution has already been tested in combat conditions. During the last sortie, a tank with such protection successfully withstood about ten drone attacks. At the same time, the system does not interfere with the crew performing combat missions.
Rostec noted that the role of T-72B3 and T-90M tanks has been rewritten. Combat vehicles have occupied a niche between anti-tank missile systems (ATGMs) and barrel artillery.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russian Buk-M2E anti-aircraft defense systems were deployed in Venezuela.
