This rare specimen will take its rightful place in the museum's collection, which already features a variety of Soviet and Russian automotive industry models. The Moskvich-2142, also known as "Knyaz Vladimir", is considered one of the last projects of the Automobile Plant named after the Leninist Komsomol (AZLK), which never went into mass production.

This particular car is notable not only for its rarity but also for being equipped with a French Renault engine. In the early 90s, AZLK considered various options for modernizing its models, and installing a more modern and powerful foreign-made engine was one way to increase competitiveness. The Renault F7R, a two-liter unit known for its reliability and dynamic characteristics, was chosen as a potential alternative to the outdated Moskvich engines.
