The Russian pump company KRON (NK KRON) has launched a new production line for industrial KV vertical pumps at its plant in Tula. This type of hydraulic machine is included in the register of critically important equipment of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, according to the press service of KRON.
The company has developed design documentation for the new line, purchased equipment, and carried out commissioning works. Investments in the project exceeded 300 million rubles.
In Which Industries Are KV Vertical Pumps Used?
KV-type hydraulic machines are characterized by compactness and high performance. They are used in the energy, water supply, chemical, food, and agricultural industries.
Localization of production in Tula will be an important step in ensuring technological independence and uninterrupted supply of equipment to key Russian infrastructure facilities.
Nikolai Kuzenkov, Managing Partner of NK KRON, stated that the production of industrial vertical KV pumps has a high degree of localization. The company's products can compete with European and American counterparts but cost less, he emphasized.
Today, the main competitor for Russian manufacturers is Chinese companies focused on mass production.
By introducing automated systems into production, the company plans to increase the output of KV vertical pumps. The equipment will appear on foreign markets in the future, including the CIS, Asia, and Africa, Kuzenkov concluded.
