The creation of a new branch "Operational-Tactical Aviation" (OAK-OTA) in the structure of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec) is unlikely to lead to a positive result, according to aviation expert Alexey Zakharov.
He recalled that in 2021, UAC announced the merger of JSC "Sukhoi Company" and JSC "Russian Aircraft Corporation "MiG" into a single enterprise.
The merger of developers, started in the Russian aircraft industry, did not lead to the desired result. Strange as it may seem, the "antagonism" that was inherent in the Design Bureau back in Soviet times survived even the Soviet Union. And this is specifically about the developers.
Zakharov added that it is clear from the name of the OAK-OTA branch that the corporation's management is not going to "separate" the Sukhoi and Mikoyan employees.
This means that the two most famous teams in the aviation world will continue to coexist, and most likely, it will continue in the mode of "like cats and dogs."
The Sukhoi Design Bureau is engaged in the development and production of Su-branded combat and civilian aircraft. In particular, the manufactured equipment includes fighters, bombers and attack aircraft, such as the Su-57, Su-35, Su-34.
The Mikoyan Design Bureau, currently the Russian Aircraft Corporation (RAC) "MiG", produces MiG-branded combat aircraft. In different periods, the company was engaged in the creation of jet and supersonic fighters, such as the MiG-15, MiG-21, MiG-29 and MiG-31.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the revolutionary drone "Klyuch" was developed in Russia.
