Wildberries structures have acquired shares in the Magas airport in Ingushetia. This was announced on September 20 by the head of the republic, Mahmud-Ali Kalimatov, on his Telegram channel.
According to him, the new owners are APR-City/TVD, a company within the Wildberries structure. The deal is valued at 425 million rubles, which significantly exceeds the initial estimate of 250 million rubles. The head of the region noted that the investment will modernize the airport, improve infrastructure, increase capacity and improve security.
The proceeds from the sale will be directed to social programs in Ingushetia. Previously, the airport's shares were put up for auction due to the difficult economic situation: after 2022, the facility operated with limited traffic, serving only one flight per day — Magas — Moscow, and the maintenance cost the republic 100 million rubles per year.
Experts note that the purchase of the airport may be related to supporting the Wildberries logistics hub in North Ossetia: last year, the company signed an agreement to build a large warehouse complex in the region.
