Ships of the Northern Fleet repelled an attack by a mock enemy in the Barents Sea, using the Kinzhal anti-aircraft missile system. The missiles were launched as part of the Zapad-2025 exercise.
The sailors of the Arctic expeditionary group performed anti-aircraft maneuvering and practiced setting up false targets.
In the near sea zone, the shipborne strike group, consisting of the missile cruiser "Marshal Ustinov", repelled an air raid by the mock enemy's aviation. The crew of the missile cruiser used the Kinzhal anti-aircraft missile system in electronic launch mode against aircraft.
The sailors were countered by pilots from the mixed aviation corps of the Northern Fleet
"Marshal Ustinov" is a Russian missile cruiser of the far sea and ocean zone, the second ship of Project 1164 "Atlant". It is part of the Northern Fleet.
Earlier, www1 reported that military expert Yuri Knutov suggested that after withdrawing from the INF Treaty, the flight range of Iskander missiles was increased to 1000 km.
